Practical information to help you select a provider, prepare for a visit and manage your membership.

Getting care, step by step

  1. Choose a participating provider. Select by location, specialty and language preference. Contact Member Services for help finding a specialist and understanding appointment requirements.
  2. Call before your visit. Confirm the provider participates, accepts your membership and can explain the applicable fees.
  3. Bring your membership card. Present your card and pay the required office visit fee directly to the provider.

Some providers may offer free services such as mammograms, pap smears, immunizations, family planning and pregnancy tests. Contact Member Services or the provider to ask about availability and eligibility.

Urgent care

Some participating providers offer care after normal business hours for non-life-threatening needs. Call the provider for hours. For a life-threatening emergency, call 911.

Before and after your visit

Check provider participation and service fees in advance. Ask your pharmacist about available prescription-by-mail options and discuss medication costs with your health care professional.
